Cy Pres Award Allows for More Services to Underserved Residents

donate-buttonZelle Hofmann Voelbel & Mason, attorneys on recent credit/debit card tying cases, has informed the Justice & Diversity Center (JDC) that it is a recipient of a $99,000 cy pres award, with an additional award pending subject to further proceedings.

The use of the cy pres funds is directed to the “promotion of financial education and advice for members of class or other purposes consistent with promoting child advocacy programs or legal services for the indigent.”

With its wide range of legal services and educational projects for diverse youth, JDC is an ideal candidate for cy pres awards. Thanks to the Zelle Hofmann attorneys for their support of JDC!
