The Justice & Diversity Center (JDC) thanks Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton for partnering with JDC’s Guardianship Project, which helps low-income clients obtain a guardianship of the person.

Kilpatrick Townsend has volunteered with JDC for several years but recently also committed to the Guardianship Project. Through this project, volunteer attorneys represent clients in uncontested guardianship applications. In September, JDC Family Law Project Supervising Attorney Stephanie Bilinski held a live training for 16 Kilpatrick Townsend attorneys from its San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices.

The firm’s national pro bono counsel, Deborah Segal, also attended. Immediately after the training, several attorneys took on representation in guardianship matters in which the clients would otherwise have proceeded without counsel. The firm has also committed to taking on future guardianship matters that JDC receives.

Thank you, Kilpatrick Townsend!
